The airbag light is flashing on the wifes fairmont but our local ford dealer cant see it for a few days... is there a fuse i can pull to disable it?

i wouldn't worry about it too much, it will be safe. if the air bag light is on that means the air bags are disabled due to a fault. they wont go off unexpectedly. in pure interest does the horn still work?

Yeah my airbag warning light comes on too, went off for 2 weeks now its back.
Local mechanic didn't recognise the code, so gotta take it to ford now, never a good sign.

non fixable my friend, unless itsjust a blown fuse, will need to be put on WDS (ford diagnostic tool) or where ever you go to be diagnosed properly. i think its law that someone certified does it due to the explosives used in the airbag system? am i right? anyone?

grr i swear this thing has more problems than my 5lt nc and ive owned the nc for 4 years as a daily driver, the ba ive had for 2 as a weekend toy and it breaks more than the nc!

Build quality is no where near as good as e series - i can tell you that from personal experience

yeah looking like we might trade the fairmont in on a xr5 turbo... so ill fix the airbag drama and trade it, have the xr for the wife and keep my fairlane and ute. cheers guys
