Why not just get a high series EL cluster then?

you can buy the gauges from autobarn or any performance shop. the autometer are some of the best gauges and i had 3 myself. they are more exy cause they are very good and if u get the oil one get the mechanical one cause it gives u an instant reading rather than a delayed one

those are not BA/BF gauges. they are Autometer gauges that are put into the BA/F Falcons because the colouring matches the factory dash.

You can put them pretty much anywhere using universal gauge cups.

For starters, there's nowhere on the dash itself where you can put gauges in an EL. If you'd like Oil Pressure and Volt meter, just upgrade to the XR cluster and you'll have the gauges there built in. This is by far the easiest method and will help keep the "factory look" in your car.

If you insist on getting aftermarket gauges, the only conceivable place I can think of placing them would be on the roof pillar to the right hand side of the driver. In my honest opinion though, that's always been a "Jap Car" style which you see in Nissan's and Subaru's, and generally not in Fords. But that's just my opinion, I'm sure others will differ.

With a mechanical gauge don't oil lines need to be ran right to it?

Probably not the best idea if running it into the cabin. If the lines are damaged or perish then it could make a mess of your interior. Don't laugh this has happend to my old man, the lines that came with the gauge perished and bam, black carpet

dont get a mech oil guage, i spent 6 hours the other day pulling apart and cleaning my dash because the **** that had it before me left it in there leaking, my whole dash, every wire, every connector and the carpet are full of oil, the carpet is pretty much ****ed.

i like the idea of under the cd player surround...looks neat, doesnt spoil the look of stock having guages popping up in the windows....and also agree with the hole putting them on the side pillar, looks to jap car style....
