Hey guys i have just fitted a trip computer to my EF XR6 awesome it worked straight away praise to the tech docco. My only question is that i hooked up the data lead, the blue one, and fired the car up all worked perfectly, i had illumination and it even dimmed when lights are on. Is this normal that i didn't have to wire up the other cables for illumination and dimming?

yeah its normal. the plug is for a clock to go in originally, and the clock needed dim and lights too.

Fair enough --- I've almost done the FAIRMONTISE to my Futura, but am now getting carried away on a FAIRLANEASIS before the FAIRMONTISE is finished. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=66031 Ho hum, all good.
