I have just read the mod about connecting the colour ICC to a PC etc. What I am wondering is can I connect a camera to it so that I can have a really tricky reversing camera system. I want to avoid mounting a TFT screen inside if I can. Please help.....

The problem with the BA LCD (Colour model) is that its pretty restricted in what it can, and cannot display.

It needs an NTSC signal, with a certain Horiz and Vertical Sync rate, and fed as seperate Red, Green, and Blue signals.

Its going to be pretty hard to find a camera that will do this, straight off the bat, however if you get a signal converter (Convert Composite video to VGA, with the right sync rates, etc) or buy the Blaukpunt system, then anything is possible really.

Oh the link to the doco is here

Sounds an awful lot like a component video signal to me. Unfortunately, the only cameras I can think of that would output such a signal are high-end digital camcorders which are just a teensy bit OTT for a simple reverse monitor.

i cant remember who makes it out of blaupunkt or vdo but its a adapter for the ICC, so you can plug and play just about everything into the screen via rca cables. but you wont get much change out of a grand, i didnt

I've got one of the above in the GT-P. Runs off of the 'rear' output from my head unit. I also have a front mounted video camera hooked into the head unit. Can get a combination of any input on the ICC and headunit screens. eg. DVD on headunit and camera on ICC, or DVD on ICC and status on headunit.
