if its water, either you've had enough heavy rain to flood the heater box, or the more likely culprit, the aircon drain hose is clogged

if its coolant, its a f**k heater core

mate the whole dash has to come out. it comes out a one unit. i wish i knew that before i tried to take out mine. i couldnt do it so i took it to a a/c person. they charged me about $500 but that is for extra s**t aswell. think it should cost about $200-$300 but not sure.

if its just the drain hose thats clogged, try pushing a piece of stiff plastic wire up it, something like a piece of whipper snipper cord

Sounds like the heater box... a very big job taking out the dash. I'm going to have to do it for my dads AU as well.

Does you coolant have any colour in it?

Does the water inside have any colour in it?

If the water inside is clear and your coolant is coloured say green then it will be the drain hose. You can get to the drain hose from under the car, passenger side of the firewall. you should find a small hole which should have a short length of hose sticking out. Poke something (not sharp) up there to unblock it.

Go for the easy things first before worry about whether to rip the dash out. :)
