You used to be able to buy an upgrade kit from ford. I got one cheap when a ford dealer local to me closed down. No switch though, it goes up when the stereo is on radio and down when it is on tape.

I would assume so. If you want the Ford button I might have one around, PM me if you want it (if I have it of course). Aftermarket power arieals are about 110-120 dollars each, thats just a packet, no install or anything.

I hate to dampen your spirit, however the half height/full height is control by the BEM. So wiring up the antenna will probably result in it going up to full height always.

Another option is to wire up the antenna switch as a off switch, I did this on my EA, use the switch when playing CD's. To do this you need a full-auto antenna, AFAIK the ford one is semi-auto and controlled by the BEM.

If you modify a semi-auto electric antenna you can convince it to work with the BEM.

Otherwise you could also use the antenna control module from a VC or VH commodore : They automatically went to half-hight, then had manual control from there.

To do that wont he need a high series (fairmont/fairlane) BEM?
