Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone can advise where I can buy the factory style lamp holders (for small wedge bulbs) to fit under dash for the door open lights in my BF2 Falcon XT?

As outlined in the following technical doc.
http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=91

After finding and reading the article it was a breeze to fit these lamps in the in laws BF XR6 as they have the colour screen in their car and the bulb holders were already fitted.

Cheers,
Damian

from Ford.

Or any auto store will sell similar (but not the same/identical holders) that you could probably work into fitting.

Otherwise wreckers.

I tried a couple from Narva. No good. I must admit I went through the same hassle. The narva one with cables out the back is too fat (it's a rubbery holder meant for damp/external applications like tail numberplate lamps - it matched the T10 holders in mine anyway), and the one that's the right size has no cables out the back - like a Instrument Cluster holder from the good old days.

In my case I had a spare SY Territory dash loom that I just whipped out one of the Bulb Holders. This was so it would fit in the lense for the Rear Footwell Lamps that I bought from Ford for about $11, but I know that the keyed cutout for the globes are the same for both front and rear footwell lights.

Yes that looks like it...if in doubt, go to a wrecker that has some NA/NC Fairlanes or similar and pull the bulb holders out of them. They're in the same location as the BA bulb holder holes under the dash....cheers Linz.

I enquired at a few places that sell T10 or T5 LED's and pointed them to that source. They don't sell them.

But maybe I've planted the seed and we might see them in the not too distant future.

i went down to pick a part with a pair of side cutters and got a handful for $2. if you do this cut about 4in away from the plug so that you can solder additional wire onto it
