hi all, my au has developed probs with the gas. What happens is when i drive the car on gas about every 7-10 mins it will die in the a*** for bout 10 seconds, no power, cant accel, just turns into a zombie. What could this be? Does petrol and lpg have seperate fuel pumps or do they run on same one? Its a stm auto gas unit. Also when it has its turn i switch to pet and it comes back to life and driues fine on petrol . I know one of my valves or valve seats a on the way out could this be contributing to this? Any help or opinions appreciated. Thanks in advance :?:

hey mate, i just got a similar problem fixed today on my missus AU. ended up being the processer unit was s**t. it only worked when it wanted to. it would run on idle when started but as soon as you touched the accelerator it died instantly. $488 later.. the problem was rectified. plugs could also be part of the problem... since i got them changed as well.

It would need to be off the scale rich to stop the engine dead like that.

If it was plugs or leads you should notice it. I have had no experience with your type of gas system. But you check all the solenoids, by pulling them out and bridging them across a car battery and see if they pop out and retract.

no, its still f¥?@+£¤d getting worse. No power under load, idles fine. Where are these solenoids you mentiond mate so i can check em also a mate of mine tells me that there is a button on the side of the condenser/mixer (the round thing the water and gas go into) that drains the sludge out ive lookd and there is none. It is a stm gas systm. Is there vacuum hoses on a gas system that i can check. Seriously doin my head in, im about to foresake ford
