have you checked your PCV valve?

yeah mate put a new one in with the plugs as the old one was at the bottom of my rocker cover, might check again just to be sure though.

Would a bigger/different air intake cause the GAS system to stuff up?

it depends on where you balance line is located, mine stufed up because the cold air intake was bypassing the balance line and giving the car too much air. I end up blocking off the CIA and it ran better! I couldn't be bothered with it anymore and ended up selling it.

Yeah, heard the car can jolt violently. I wonder if there's another way to keep the air cold coming in, but same air amount...
