Thanks. I'll see if I can find somewhere to buy some or get the mechanic to buy them and install them. I'd have no idea how to install spark plugs or leads so will leave it to the pros.

Make sure your mechanic applies plenty of dielectric grease on the coil boots prior to reinstalling the coils after the plug change. Failing to apply enough grease (or failing to apply any at all) will result in misfires, rough running and reduced power caused by spark leak. I can't emphasise this enough!!!!!

Another quick question if I may. I'm getting the car this Wed and taking it to a mechanic Thursday. I've chosen this guy in Pakenham: http://www.andrewsautos.com.au/ - if anyone knows anyone better or more qualified, etc that is in the area, let me know. Thanks.

Go to A&M Automotive in Wantima South. Ask for Anthony (blownba) and tell him that PoweredByCNG sent you.

Hmm... that's about an hour and a bit from where I live... is it really worth going all that way?

Yes, he's one of the best LPG mechanics in Melbourne and he will go out of his way to ensure that you leave his workshop with a smirk on your face.

Ok, will cancel with who I'm with then and go with him, if he can get me in Thursday. If he's that good might be booked out.

Just tried to call these guys - the call couldn't be connected. Said number was disconnected and their web page no longer works... makes me wonder if they are even still around...

Someone has sent a message after him for me so I'll wait to see if they hear from him. If they don't hear from him in time I'll just go the place in Pakenham as I want the car looked at asap.

To given you a rough idea of how economical the E-gas is on the freeway, I do a fair bit of freeway driving and i average about 12.5L/100km. On a road trip i took a month ago out to the country i cleared 1000km on one tank, and still had about 80km to go on the trip computer before i filled up. Around town the average is closer to 15L/100km, but i don't live in a city. Given the price of LPG and the benefits of a bigger car, i can't ever see myself wanting go to back to a small car.

I've only had the car for about 8 hours and love it already. Before I picked it up I was driving a rental on lpg, one that starts on petrol and then kicks over to the lpg - frankly I am finding this one to drive a lot better than that one did. But maybe the conversion wasn't done properly, I have no idea. But this drives smooth as butter. When I'm going 100 I only feel like I'm going 80. Glad I have that cruise control so I don't go up to 120 without noticing.

That's amazing economy you got from that one tank! I live in the country but work in the suburbs so about 25 min or so of my drive is freeway and the rest is either 60-80ks with stop lights, etc. So I doubt I'll get as good economy as yourself but I still expect I'll get decent amount of ks from a tank.
