I picked up an e-gas throttle body yesterday.

The throttle body's intake is an oval shape. I fitted my BA crosspipe and it seemed okay, maybe if i need to i could add a thin hose clamp?

What is the e-gas intake piping like? Is it different to the normal intake?

I also looked at the Ryco air filters for the BA and they list one for petrol and another for lpg, the petrol one is a soft material with deep convolutions, whereas the lpg one is paper like the normal e-series filters. Is this because of the risk of backfire? If so what happens if a petrol model filter is backfired against?

I'm not sure about the intake question, but i have replaced my standard paper-type filter with a BA K&N filter and it works a treat! In the occasion of a backfire, the K&N filter is much better than a standard filter becasue it has a flexible rubber surround whereas the standard filter has a hard plastic surround which can burst into small pieces causing all sorts of trouble (trust me it happened to me!). Plus, the slight power and economy increase and not to mention the intake noise is well worth the money. Haven't had a problem for over 20k kms.

It's going on my bbm. The bbm upper is EL.

The only problem i can see is wiring up the TPS, which seems to need to be AU, whereas i have an EBII harness. I started a thread on that in the 6cyl workshop, hoping for some help? http://www.fordmods.com/forums/wiring-e ... 72012.html

It has an inbuilt mixer, and the intake is oval shaped. I haven't noticed any other meaningful differences from inspection, but that's not to say there aren't any.

It's 37.5mm. The port is circular, only the outside where the crosspipe fits is oval.

Do you know anything about the AU's TPS wires?
