hey guys, just bout ready to throw my EL in the bin. The other day i changed the oxy sensor because the idle was prettty jumpy, after i changed it there was an improvement but when i switched it over to petrol the thing didnt want to move at all, i put my foot down a bit (bad idea), heard a bit of a pop come from the engine bay so switched it back to LPG. Now when ever i pull up at a set of lights and the revs drop below 1200-1300 the car starts to shake pretty badly and the revs drop pretty much all the way to zero for a second before they come back up to normal. This'll happen for about an hour until the car gets some real tempreture into it and then it stops. Any ideas guys?
cheers.

Check for and leaks in your air intake.. or dodgy airflow sensor.. my ED did exactly that on petrol but not gas when it had a hole in the intake piping after the airflow sensor.

If its playing up on petrol and gas then its not likely to be the injectors when its on gas. Reset PCM and get check distributor and coil. My moneys on the coil.

Cheers,

well we can rule out coil as that was changed about 3 weeks ago along with leads, spark plugs and a new oxy sensor, Im pretty sure that my injectors ar cactus but that doesnt explain that shake that occurs when its on gas, as i said before when i changed the oxy sensor I thought id see how it'd run on petrol. The car didnt wanna move or rev at all it felt like I was drivin a tractor and as soon as i put my foot down a bit a heard a pop coming from the engine bay It wasnt a backfire so im not sure what it was but yeah that shake started occuring after I switched it back to LPG, by the way how do i reset the PCM?
Cheers guys

and oh, just put a new intake on it long ago the airflow sensor could be a possibility, how hard is it to change?

I just disconnected the MAP sensor and took it for a drive the drive wasnt as smooth but that damn shake was gone so when i got home I had another look and noticed the hose from the BBM to the sensor was disconnected so i plugged it back in and plugged the sensor back in and took it out again. Now that shake came back but not nearly as much the odd thing is i took it round the block a few times and the only place were it would do it was going down a hill, any how does it look like a dead MAP sensor? if so ive got one off an EB so will it fit?
Cheers guys

dont know for sure but i think they are different.
my eb started loping at idle and stalling, i simply unplugged the MAP sensor with the engine running to see what happened (electrical connector). immediately the idle leveled out. went and ripped a second hand one of a car at the wreckers and had no problems since.
