The only other thing I'd suggest is use tank fills for LPG fuel figures - the trip comp was reasonably accurate when I used a std ECU, but it still used injector pulse and LPG level when on LPG.
The Tickford LPG ECU's shut down injectors internally, so big zero's on the trip comp on mine.

BTW: Is the washer bottle in the way of the cruise control module and cable?? It looked like in the pics that it's not fitted.

Yeah i was hoping it was reasonably correct but i was not sure. Im waiting to empty this tank as it is out of date, but was still half full when i got it. I have another tank that is in date waiting to go in. I just couldn't bare to waste half a tank of gas :) so ill post up full to empty results when there in.

Unfortunately it does not have cruise control :( id love to fit it one day if i can ever be bothered or get through the ever increasing amount of project that continue to pile up

Thanks for the suggestions to btw, its always better to hear alternate ideas :D

Did you notice that it lost abit of power and responsivness when its on petrol with the IMPCO 200 mixer???

I noticed my car did once my LPG was installed and i think the mixer is holding it back abit, apparently a 225 or 300A is more suitable.

As far as responsiveness goes from down low i lost nothing. If anything i have picked up more low down torque when running on lpg than what it ever had on petrol. All it lost really was in the top end due to the smaller hole in the mixer restricting air flow at high rpm. But this is my daily driver so the amount of time it spends at redline = almost never, so it doesn't bother me.

As far as improving performance on lpg goes, what you need is the shortest intake length, but still getting cool air (so no pods on the end of mixers :) unless boxed) and the shortest vapour line possible. This will give you great response from down low, as my setup has proved.

Hope this helps.

Oh and if you do get a 225 or 300a post in here the difference you found, if you don't mind, id love to know :)

Hey Flash

I have the 225 mixer. We should get together one day and compare notes.

That's a pretty neat setup, and technically much better than most of the mixer style setup's i've seen on the E series fords, that mount the converter off the drivers side strut tower with miles of fuel feed line to the mixer. My hat's off to you Flash, for using your head - it really wasn't that hard to set it up better than the normal was it?

I remember with my Torana's 1st gas setup (i have gas research & T04 turbo now, not yet running tho), complex converter & amos ring, the installer fit it up with almost 2 feet of fuel feed line, and it drove like a pig. I moved the converter, shortened the line to 8 inches & had the converter hooked back upto the copper gas line. The car drove much better, just because the hardware was installed better.

Every gas conversion i've had done, except the torana's current incomplete gas research setup, has always had corner's cut by the fitters when it comes to installing the hardware. This always leads to performance that isn't up to what it should be, both economy & power. They seem so interested to just fit the hardware quickly & get the car out, instead of doing good workmanship & having a customer who will bring future car's back for conversions!

Cheers

ToranaGuy

Thanks for the words of encouragement ToranaGuy, and i agree with what you said.

Its amazing what you can do with a bit of ingenuity. And your right, it isn't hard at all.

I wonder how the Impco Mixer works on the windsor, as opposed to a sprint gas mixer ring as I have on my EF V8, coupled to an LG B2.......

I am still returning over 500k's out of 80litres- doing combined 30% city, 70 % freeway

Raff - that setup looks neat & your getting better mileage than i get from my modified 4lt with gas injection on it - but i also drive it hard, changing cogs @ 3000rpm isn't good for economy but man it's fun.

Cheers
