Ditto.

Not even mines that bad with a massive cam, stalled up auto & 3.7s. Probably around 25L per 100km

Hey all

99 AU Fairlane Ghia V8 Auto

$70-80/week get about 500klms to a tank. Trip comp reads 12.7L/100klm
(Note: BY looking at the others, this really seems quite good)

$35-40 per week (V-Power only) all short trips as well roughly 300-400kms. I usually add Lucas petrol treatment every forghtnight roughly 200mls to 1/2 a tank.

Seems to like that stuff. But i dont care how much it cost to run either! I enjoy every drive!

where do you buy V-power for 85cent/L ???

Heh? I just put in $15-20 for the weekends and then ill put $20 mid week. I get roughly 300-400kms a week out of that (average). i dunno how manly litres it is per 100kms i think it averages about 11-12L/100km. I may have worded my first post wrong???

your saying you do 400km with $40 of V-power. it doesn't add up. Even if you could manage 10l/100km you'd still need to be buying fuel for $1/L

lets be nice and pretend you can get better the factory quoted consumption and call it 11.5l/100km
at what V-power costed we'll be nice and call it $1.25/L it's going to cost you at least $55 do go 400km in an Auto EF XR6.

Haha yeah ill just leave it at that...Ill just add that atm im paying $1.32/L in Victor Harbor for V Power right now.

right so now you're claiming 7.5L/100km, so whats the 'few engine mods'?

Nah wasnt claiming anything, the calculations arent correct in my first post as was rough guess with (300-400kms range). but was just saying the V power prices is BS atm.

EF ghia 5.0 (stock apart from exhaust) On LPG, although I only use propane from Supagas.

I do 600km a week, all freeway 16L/100 out of LPG costing around $45 a week at the moment.
80 litre usable cost me under $40 to fill. I absolutely love the economy.

Figured it cost me only $7.68 to drive 100k's!! IMO you'd be hard up finding a petrol 4cyl with that economy in the real world!

Keeping In mind 99.8 % of my driving is on the freeway doing 100km/h with cruise.

Hello chaps,

-I have a EF Series I XR6 Auto
-Dual Fuel
-Max range so far 515kms averaging 14L/100km on the Gas
-$35 to refill the tank

This is mainly highway cruising at 100kph.

Don't worry about petrol that much as you can appreciate it's cheap as chips to run on Gas.

Cost per week sounds strange to me, a bit pointless really.
How about L/100kms?

EL Futura wgn average 11L/100kms best 9.8L/100kms (686km to the tank) consistent for 3 months long distance commuting.
XG Xr6 11.5 ishL/100km (average 520kms per tank) but haven't kept track as well, cause that includes a bit of sideways km's

Hi All,

Ride: ED 93 Falcon 5spd
Fuel: Caltex Vortex which is 95RON?
Cost: About $40 per fortnight for staying in town and not towing anything too heavy(~30L)

Just a note for these probably high costs: I do drive a little harder than most generally run second gear to 50 and skip third so these measurements aren't the most fuel efficient

Cheers...
