hi all my gas system has died on my ef and so now i am wondering if i can get the gov rebate to pay for some of the GRS kit its goin to cost me in the area of $550 to get the system converted to a AirRod system anyway coz the poliauto kit it has at them moment is rubbish and goin to cost alot more to replace dose anyone no what the in's and outs of the rebate are the car has already got a system in it that i got just before the rebate came in

my idea is that if it cost me around the $500-800 out of pocket to hav a GRS system then that will be fine

thanks to anyone that can help

You can't get the rebate on a car that has previously been fitted with LPG.

You can strip the majority of your old system and get the car reclassified as petrol (blue slip NSW), then proceed from there. I did it.
All under the hood came out, fuel filler (pretty important one), pretty sure I pulled the tank but I cant remember. Then it comes down to negotiating with the installer as to what equipment your going to reuse if any (tank and high pressure line being the obvious ones).

You can't reuse the service line once it's been removed.
