just hoping this is the right place to post...
i just bought a 2.5 inch system, and couldnt fit the lukeys because they come out 7 inches from the exhaust outlet (about double the distance of the stock manifold)
problem is my converter is in that area and i could not fit it as its in the way by at least an inch or so...
whats the best way to go about this? (moving it? etc)
cheers, adam

I have seen some converters to be about three times the size of some others. Impco's can be large, whereas the Airod in my car is the smallest i've seen.
What size is your converter? Pic?

You've got a large converter, it's about 2 to 2.5 times the size of a small
converter. The way i see it you have three options. Fit your battery in
your boot and place your converter where the battery was. Fit a small
converter where your current one is. Fit a small converter on the
passenger side of your engine bay. My XG has an OMVL which is about
medium sized fitted on the passenger side, so i figure a small converter
could sit on the passenger side of an EB, but i reckon this last is the
worst option. There are other guys here that have personally worked
their way around this issue and it would be good to get their input too.

I had the same problem but I could solve it in a EF by installing an AU header tank and mounting the convertor where the EF header tank was. This won't work for you if you are AU with ABS though.

Whoops, i think you're right, it looks like an AU. It's very similar to looking in my EB's engine bay, considering my EB has an AU motor.

i'm currently thinkin of a few things
washer bottle area + custom bracket (god knows where)
and smaller converter
but with the smaller converter, would i have to change anything?
it wouldnt just be a straight hook-up would it?
cheers for the responses so far

That's interesting, why is that? In case of a front end accident potentially spilling some gas?

How far is the one you have from the underside of the bonnet? Can you move it upwards? Or upwards and forwards?
