this is really just for people interested in LPG

just discovered something weird by chance

my last tank of gas was bought from supagas and was straight propane

ive just filled up from mobil and now there is a big difference in the A/F ratios im getting under load and at idle...im assuming that mobil sells a propane/butane mix

A/F ratios were measured in lambda :

------------supagas---------mobil
------------propane-------prop/but mix
idle----------1.05-------------.95
full load-------.85-------------.78

so as u can see its now much richer across the board....

my system is an impco L convertor and 200 mixer

why would this be the case?

what did you notice with economy?

Ive used straight propane before and got less out of a tank 60-100kms but i normally use bp-gas.

Ive been told that whatever gas you use it should be from the same place if you can. help the computer know whats goin on or sum thin.

but back to propane i found it gives the car more ballz! but wont last as long

To make the most of propane you need to tune the car to make the most of it.
Its like putting 98RON petrol in a car tuned for 91RON.
ECU's will make some adjustments, but when you're talking LPG then the ECU isnt making any Fuel adjustments.

propane is the s**t!
high octane and usually well regulated.
awesome for forced induction or high compression

supagas.com.au :)
as said above, its fantastic for fordced induction, even in vapour form
could only imagine the results someone would get with straight propane injection!

there's a few propane setups in the states on some big engine cars that run very well.
