everything i used was 2nd hand , so total cost was about 480$ mind you i put it all onto a 5L and set it up for dedicated ( no EFI manifold )
Impco mixer 425 , impco converter , tank from an X vic cab , and new service line , everything else i had already from another car i owned a few years back.
SO you could be looking about 7-900$ in 2nd hand bits
cause a new tank is about 480$

the installer i was talking to wouldnt accept my tank (which was in date!!)

he said he only installs tanks that he has tested...what s**t!!!...gas installers dont test tanks, there are dedicated companies doing this...

seemed like he wanted to sell me a secondhand tank (which he paid $30 for) plus charge extra for the test (which is about $120 last time i checked) plus his little cut

so i doubt he is going to let me use any secondhand parts if he wont let me use a perfectly valid tank

I did my ute for under $500 including having a 'licensed' installer fit the service line.
He also made me trollop off the vic roads to fill in the AAFRB paperwork.

Back at the barn, WHY would an installer waste his time for $50 cash when theres prolly about 30+ customers a month busting his balls with $3k at hand.

I understand 'i can do it all myself, but i want to have it complied' and pay a few hundred bux all up. But unfortunately these days have almost vanished!

Paperwork goes a long way, companies are beginning to do things whole, either my way or the highway.

Remember tanks rust on the inside, I would validate my workmanship If the main ingredient expires in 2yrs.

mine cost $2300 drive in drive out so only 300 after rebate good cheap motoring. You dont get many mechanics that are will to put there balls on the line these days for a system that they didn't install. I'm a mechanic and I didn't even waste my own time to do a self install when i can pay 300 to get it done.

Mine cost $3300 at Torquegas Caloundra.

Gastech computer, Airod converter, toriodal tank (wagon). Unlimited KM 2 year nationwide warranty, fully tank of lpg, dyno tune, free first service @ 3000km.

Install is nice and neat and it runs well. Was getting 18L/100km around town and 12.3L/100km with primarily highway driving. That was with a car full of people and gear sitting on 100-110km/h a lot of those KM's.

Pretty happy so far. :)

Mine cost 3500, s0 500 after the rebate (its 3000 in wa).

Its just a basic mixer one but it does fine. It took a while to start running economically (few thousand kms), now I get about 15L/100kms

I got mine done in Dec 06 for $2800. Then the govt gave me $3k back (WA). so total cost -$200. Yep, i make a profit, go figure.
