i think its not cheap, but not very expensive.

like it or not, EF-EL aren't worth terribly much now a days. u can pick up a straight futura EF-EL depending on condition for around $4500. And i would go for around $6000-$7500.

considering that our family pickup up an EF Ghia for $3000 with minor front end damage, Xr's cannot be worth that much more with damage.

I cringe at the thought of the condition of a car like a ghia worth 3k.. sorry but its true and i think most would also. :o
Your making it sound like i got ripped off, 17k n all i got was a el with few pieces of metal n plastic thrown on. :?

lolz, if u dont believe me here are the pics.

i actually got confused. The EF Ghia had side damage, all along the side. The A-piller was pushed in but the B-piller was fine. Both front + rear door need replaceing, new A piller welded on and new Rear quarter panel installed. + Paint and that was it.

Beautiful car inside and out (appart from the damage, good paint). Premo sound, XR Engine. Had only 80,000km

The only things missing were a V8, Tickford bodykit, Tickford rims and sunroof.

hey daniel,

i know u have alot of knowledge about cars, i respect that. but u wont truely know the prices until u go to a few auctions urself.

if i am right, ur 17k Ghia is black with 18" rims, bodykit and GT spoiler ect. That thing is beautiful, one of the nicest looking Ghias i have ever seen.

hope i dun get in trouble with the moderators for slightly going off the topic here.

Looks like an decent car for 3k, when fixed tho.
No, mine isnt the black ghia - its the regency fbt.
Ive beenn to a few auctions now, i mean dont get me wrong, but i do see a difference in buying a straight car from private sale and a crashed one from an auction - maybe im just picky, shoot me if you will.
