Item- Alpine 9853, go to www.alpine.com.au and search for 9853 to get full specs and pics (I cannot link directly)

I'm selling it because I bought a 9855R while this headunit was in transit because I couldn't wait for it to arrive. They are virtually the same unit exept the one I'm using has "biolite" and 4V preout's.

The best features of this headunit are the glidetouch which allows you to scroll through the menu's, Bass Engine Pro which allows you to set the exact frequencies each speaker plays (adjustable crossovers) as well as the crossover slopes (6, 12, 18 or 24dB octaves) This means you can run your front stage active if you want.

Active means that you would have one channel from an amp for each individual speaker. (tweeters, mids, subs)

This unit also has time alignment for each speaker. (again, tweeters, mids subs, left and right)

There is heaps more features but thats a basic rundown, I can also install the headunit if need be for extra.

This headunit is 4 weeks old, comes in original box with faceplate box, manual and remote

The R.R.P. is $699 I'm looking for reasonable offers

Quote:
This high-class head unit is extremely powerful and sophisticated. It features Alpine’s unrivaled Bass Engine Pro sound tuning, including 6-channel digital time correction and 5-band parametric equalizer.

You can also set all of the sound parameters on the internet, burn them to CD and download them into the headunit (i-Personalise)Image

Any questions I am happy to answer via PM or in this thread

DR HEMI- I should have specified the ad better, the unit is older than 4 weeks, however it has only had 4 weeks use according to the person I bought it off, I am inclined to belive them as the unit is in pristine condition and the use it has had rather than how long it's been packed in a cardboard box is whats important.
Both Tocchi and Dan are friends who I am happy to have give information in this thread should they be able to provide more details.
Also Alpine release thier new range in July not december, this may have been old stock that was bought "around" two months ago or it could be even older and just be in mint "as new" condition.

lovxr6- sorry thats too low

I stated the unit is a 9853, therefore it's a 9853 not a 9853R
The unit was MANUFACTURED in Feb 2005

The remote and faceplate case are either very near new or never used as they appear brand new.

The reason I gave the RRP was so that no one offered me stupidly low money for it.

lovxr6 that would be difficult if you take freight into account. the cost of freight would counteract the cost of the bargain

And in regards to Freight it would not cost more than $25 to send Aus Wide by registered post and insured for $300 via Aus Post.....

talking about extractors...those long metal like objects weighing around 15kg, which Toll Ipec and TNT will gladly charge you heaps to send

no sorry, it's pretty much essential to set the crossovers, time alignment unless you do it on the net, and make changes on the net.
