The car itself without the extras originally sold on ebay for $2,225.00 with a lot of interest from other buyers. So what model is this car? You say ebgt lookalike, but it looks like an ea gl that's had a 5l planted in it. I may be interested. More details needed, I.E. Kms, build date, etc etc.

Hi, Yes it is an EA with a later model 5.0L with twin thermo's. It has 245K's. There is most of this info on the web page I made for it listed.

It's a 5.0L HO 165KW from EB-EL. Looks like the A/C isn't connected.

Can you legally register a 5.0 in an EA?

I'm interested but thought you couldn't as they didn't come out with that option

There is all that info and more on the page I made which is linked from the one I put pics on. As mentioned in there it was registered in NSW last year and I still have the rego sticker to show it. So I imagine it must have been engineered at the time to be registered. As it has been registered previously it will just need a blue slip for rego. And yes it seems to be a 5.0L from EB-EL by the look of it.

Only the back seats and door trims are recaro, the fronts are Fairmont Ghia velour.

I have had several people contact me with interest, I just need a firm commitment. I have sold all of my other toys and have decided to stick with my Infiniti Q45.

FORD FALCON 5.0L V8 5-SPEED MANUAL – GT LOOK-ALIKE

COMES WITH A BRAND NEW EB GT BODY KIT READY TO FIT!

This Falcon has had a LOT of money spent on it! All it needs now is a little TLC. It now has a later 5.0L V8 with twin thermo fans for cooling. I fitted a polished V8 engine cover with a Cobra emblem. It has also been fitted with a 5-speed T5 manual gearbox. It has extractors and a 3” sports exhaust system and sounds great! It is a deep metallic Charcoal type colour, almost black. It has lowered sports suspension and sits on 17” deep-dish ROH rims and handles very well. The engine and gearbox are very good; I originally drove it home on a VIC Roads unregistered permit from Victoria to NSW. It never missed a beat for a full 7-hour drive. It does not leak or burn oil; the engine, gearbox and suspension are all good. It has slotted brake rotors, but they will need to be machined, as they have a shudder when braking from high speeds.

It comes with a brand new EB GT full body kit, which cost $1,200.00 and will look awesome! Including the wheel arch moulds and a big rear wing. The existing bonnet scoops are fine so the winner will have a complete set of spare bonnet scoops. It’s also fitted with XR8 headlights, which alone sell on ebay for several hundred dollars. I also have new SVO badges to go on the front guards. It has also had an aftermarket electric sunroof fitted. The sunroof works well but leaks in heavy rainfall and needs resealing.

The interior has been upgraded to Fairmont specs with power windows, central locking and dash etc. MOMO steering wheel and MOMO gear knob on a short shifter. The interior was also customised with a RECARO trim on all four door trims and the rear seat. The front seats are standard Fairmont Ghia seats. It has a very good alarm system with a R/C hooked up to the central locking for keyless entry. It also has an extra set of air horns and a CD player. I have also added a new carbon fibre dash kit to dress it up.

The body needs a few dents and scratches tidied up to make it excellent. I intended to fit the new body kit and do a full re-spray. But that is not really necessary; just various parts need to be done. The main parts that are damaged are on the body kit, so the new one solves that problem. The other dents are mostly on the drivers’ door and guards. The interior could do with the plastics on sills and pillars etc being painted or replaced as they have deteriorated over years. But parts are plentiful and cheap as chips for these! It also comes with a brand new D/S XR8 front blinker in the box ready to fit.

It last had NSW rego in August 2008 so it will need a blue slip for new rego. It will not need an engineers certificate as it has been previously registered as is. It will need some things done for rego, but not too much.

It drives great and if you decide to drive it home just get an unregistered vehicle permit from the NSW RTA. It is located on the far south coast of NSW just south of Bega near Merimbula for inspection or pick up. There is an airport nearby to fly in and drive home. The body kit will need to be transported by other means, so it is probably best to organise transport for the car and body kit.

The car itself was purchased for over $2,200.00 then $1,200.00 for a new GT body kit, plus flying down to get it and adding the chrome engine cover and other stuff. It owes me well over $4,000.00. But as I am selling a couple of my cars to cut down I am looking for $3,000.00 o.n.o. To do all this extra stuff yourself would cost many thousands! The last completed one sold for over $8K on ebay.

I have several Big Boys Toys and unfortunately some have to go.

its a Mustang Cobra/ED XR8 Sprint intake, although the bbq plate makes me doubt its a sprint item, doesnt appear to have the modifications that were made to the sprint BBQ plates to clear the intake properly

I just wanted to let you all know that the car might not be listed on ebay after all, but maybe? I have had an offer for the car itself without the body kit. I am thinking about it and if I accept his offer it will be sold. I just wanted to give the few guys interested the heads up before it is sold, in case you want it? One guy from these forums has looked at it and was very impressed with the exhaust note.
