JBL - BRAND new in boxes
• Edge-driven Kaladex tweeters - These are not commonly used w-domes, but full edge-driven domes like those found in higher quality home audio speakers. The benefits are increased power handling, reduced distortion, and increased efficiency. This technology also allows for better integration with the mid/woofer
• Hi-roll rubber surrounds are used to provide excellent cone-edge suspension and damping. In addition this material will not break down due to UV contamination or moisture.

Yes they have a number of SPL records and very high scores. The store demonstreated it to my friend in store but it does not really suit a small sealed box.

Give it 2,000rms in a 3-4c/f ported box and see some number fly with some serious output....

Honestly i would take it w/out the box but he has the box there so i thought it might suit someone else for a different application.

Hey aaron. Just double checking on the processor.

It's got 3 outputs

front/rear/sub

and this can be switched to

High/mid/low

to allow someone with a headunit that already has front/rear/sub to connect the front output of the headunit into the processor to run a fully active front end?

Price for JBL is each pr, total of 2 pairs available

Yes the DSP is quite a handy unit, and yes it runs from 1 x input and provides either front, rear sub or high mid low. I had it running form a headunit with only 1 x RCA preout available and then got the benefit of time correction and crossovers.

The EQ in it it pretty limited so thats probably not the main feature. It has 3 bands so can help tidy a system up but not solve poor instllation problems etc...

PS: It comes with a cheap microphone for auto EQ. I found this works poorly and this one does not have the mic....

Looks like the DSP and Pioneer amp are gone.

No one wants a New brand name 2,000rms sub, which is results proiven in the SPL scene at half price ?

DLS RCA"WS are also the bets i have ever used and are less than half price.

Well the JBL monoblockl would run it pretty well but if your looking to get the max from it you'd need an amp capable of around 2,500rms and it wouold depend on what brand you bought as to how much it would cost.

Jaycar make one thats 1,500rms or 3,00rms per pair strapped and costs around $600ea.

DLS make one that produces 1,600rms and i have a second hand one you could have for $950 (rrp is $1,499) or you'd have to look around for other brands.

Mind you unless your planning on running it for SPL you dont need 2,000rms.

1,000rms would be the amount i'd be looking to be able to provide to it as a minimum.
