i'd have to disagree with you there. my brother (who is actually a member on here - cooper69s) had a very nice cooper s. beat a vp 5 sp and also his ba ghia. had a best of 16.7 1/4 which is pretty good considering. 1/8 mile prolly better suited to the mini's. they stop a lot better too as they have disc brakes up front.

otherwise they are good fun. i had a leyland 1275gt with a 1310cc in it, twin su's and exhaust. went ok for a mini.

10.0 flat is quick....
thats a neat little car, i'd be very interested if i had the finances available... anyone who buys this car needs to strap a turbo on it STAT.. that'd be my plan :)

Good luck with the sale mate, it'd be a mad street car, save a tonne on petty :)

yeah i miss my mini... it was awesome fun
was a genuine 69 mk2 Cooper S 1275cc +.060, ported polished head, big mk1 valves, 10.5:1 comp, 290* wade cam, 1.5:1 roller rockers, adjustable timing gear, balanced, electronic dissy, 45mm DCOE weber carb, maniflow extractors and can't remember what else. last time at the drags did 16.62 which wasn't too bad - always thought it should have done better considering all the mods but was really suited more to 1/8 mile stuff used to run out of steam a bit by the end of the 1/4. we had about 10 minis down there - mate's race mini did 15.4 with 10 year old hoosiers that couldn't get traction. sold the mini about 3 months ago (got $18K was pretty impressed with that) and bought the AU. i'll have to buy myself another mini sometime but will probably just be a track car.

anyway enough reminiscing don't wanna hijack your thread :D
if you don't get any response, try advertising the mini on the forum i used to hang out in www.ausmini.com

Geoff
