has it got a red rocker cover? if so, that would be a pretty good indication it has a tickford engine, matched with the LSD, would be a pretty safe guess its a series 2

S2's were tickford optioned - so had 3.45 LSD, Tickford (I6) engine, and tickford ECU - pretty sure thats about it :?

that zh would have to be modded to have similar power to the ef. have you used it for towing already and not happy with it or are you just assuming it won't be good enough.

if you want a car that will tow really well just get an f series. not exactly a car but you won't have any dramas.

is a zh a v8. If so maybe its the torque that makes it easier for towing.

yep it is torque im after.

ive used the ghia once to tow the boat it tows ok but it feels like you have your foot down all the time where as with the fairlane i had it was cruisey
and i felt a lot more comfedent towing with it.

i also have a turbo diesel triton that i tow it with most of the time but its only a single cab and im going on holidays with my family and want to take the boat too!

my ute is 351, modded slightly, and it's a torque monster.
if it doesnt' wheelspin up hills, it just shoots up them.
