Mods - I sent Nicko all my details 2 weeks ago and he read, though never replied to my PM. I understand with the recent issues Fordmods is having that it could have easily slipped his mind. Contact me if there are any problems here! Cheers

Electronic Shift Kits -

A few people bought these off me last time I did a build run and so now Im starting back up again with a few changes to the previous design!

- Now for the adjustable ones there is no box, they simply have the switch, dial, and wiring, which now means you can mount the dial right up next to your switch on the dash for adjustment on the go!
- The terminals are now joined by soldered clips so they will not break, in the first batch they were just soldered with out the clips and 1 or 2 broke in transit, which was really disappointing obviously!
- With that in mind (+ and my loss of my free source of wire!) prices have increased, they're now
- Single Stage - $35
- Adjustable - $50
- Postage - $10 (Aus wide)

The closest competitor to these is the ShiftKits.com products, and they charge at least twice the price!

Heres a website I made up that shows the instructions and a little more info on what a shift kit is for those who dont know!
http://www.shiftkits.webs.com

PM me for any interest, or go via the website!

Cheers,
Jacob

Sorry guys I've only just realised now - Ive made an error in my parts adding and I should be charging $50+10 postage for the adjustable one and $35+10 postage for the Single Stage,

Ill be updating the prices on the other forums and website!

Sorry about that!

Just a quick update,

Im making a batch up this week that will be posted out either wed/thurs, so if theres anyone thinking about it now would be helpful to me!

Not trying to push anyone into it but its just easier for me if I make a load in one go and then post in one go, rather than build/post one every day of the week!

Cheers!

Have a look at the website becuase the complete instructions for whatever car you have are there. You'll need to cut one wire and splice into another! So if you ever want to remove it, all you need to do is tape up the spliced wire and join the other! And you'll be back to stock

Its an SPDT ON/ON switch - pt no. ST0335 - if you want to look it up on Jaycars website!

This is a pic of the old design - the only difference is that the dial is not out of the box and about 40cms inwards from the switch. This change just meant that you could now mount the dial on the dash with your switch!

No, the idea is you can order at any time and I'll make and post it! Ive got a fair few to make up this week so they'll be hopefully posted wed/thurs! (So for anyone else reading this - nows a good time to get in because I may not enough people again for 2/3weeks before i make another batch!)

So if PayPal is your thing then use the checkout on the website, otherwise send me a PM with your name, address, kit type (adjustable or single stage), and your car and Ill send back my bank details!

Cheers mate!

G'day Guys

Just wanted to know whether there are any long term bad effects from getting a shift kit?

Cheers

excuse my ignorance, but how is this different from the "power " switch on any normal auto falcon? or does it work in conjunction with it?

it doesnt make the range on the gears any longer it basicaly makes the shift harder and faster to combat the loss of power while changing gears but it is recomended you use it in dry conditions and while the powerr button is down and needless to say in wet with the button off and kit off.

i did some reading on this subject a month or 2 ago and from what i hear it is actualy a liil bit better for your gear box on the basis it stops friction heat building in gear changes and heat is the number 1 enemy of your gear box.

now time for my question.
anyone who under stands the currant vic torian p plate rules:
if i am on my red p's are these leagal as they are not a engine preformance enahncer technicaly.
i need to know if they are illegal i cant put one in due to insurance if theya re not i will be purchasing one i mad eone not long ago for fun but am not confident in my ability.

plus is it possible for em to order one with a light indicating its on/off (regular if you will) position?
