After reading this thread, I think there are some specifics that need to be made public - many people consider a rolling shell to be *just that* - not much else...I presume it has complete interior, all panels (as pictured) just minus the motor and trans.
What I would be interested in knowing is : * How good are the panels - is it straight ? Do all doors close cleanly with similar / tolerable gaps ? * How good is the diff - 3.73 LSD still in good condition ? * Any aftermarket stereo gear ? * Does it include your Bilstein / Koni suspension with nolathane ? * Does it include the factory XR8 ECU seeing you were using a Delco unit or does it come with the Delco ? If it includes all the goodies above and is in good or better condition - then I dare say it is a very good deal. For all the others saying they can buy ELs for the same or cheaper - they're probably ex taxis with crappy vinyl interiors, crappy 3.08 diff that has done a million kms, possibly a column shift auto and a shell that has got more dings than a bike bell. MICKYYYY - perhaps clear some of this up and it may help get you a buyer. |

EF XR8 1995 model
Cobolt blue 19in rims rear 265/30/19 front 235/35/19 Front Slotted DBA dics rotors and race pads Lowered suppension all round koni springs Blistein Front shocks Manroe rear shocks Nolothane bushes all round 3inch exhaust all the way through with twin mufflers and twin cat converters, DOES NOT COME WITH EXTRACTORS Sony explode sterio Rhino tracker alarm Body is in good condition all round with a tinny ding on left rear passenger door which you can bearly notice, other than that all straight and all gaps are even all round Interior is in good condition no rips Diff is also in good condition and have receipt of rebiuld $1500 The factory XR8 ecu may be there but im not too sure but i can check when i get the chance. overall the car is in good condition and the price im asking for is CHEAP I got a quote for a engine and ecu plus wiring hatness and gearbox with acc's eg aircon pump, powersteering and for $2000.00 plus to fit $700 and add a few extra hundred for little bits and pieces and you will have an EF XR8 on the road

As I have seen this car and checked it out its a very neat xr8 and if Micky has been quoted $2000 for engine and box makes the car $5000 I think that sounds cheap and the overall condition is in great condition, even without the engine and box think of what money has been spent on rest of the car, if I have a spare $3000 wood snap it up good luck with the sale mate. Also forgot to mention that it comes with Leather interior from a AU 2000 model front and back seats. Front drivers seat is electric too.

I will speak to my brother mate but I think he is looking for an EL XR. The quote I got from FTG didnt include gearbox though. Was that quote with an auto box?
