I am considering selling my XR8, and will have to reassemble the remainder of the car should anyone show some interest.
The car has 81000k on it, white, 5 speed, climate control, trip computer, high series audio, stacker full Fairmont Ghia electrics (complete harness) all new suspension, bushes etc, new diff, engine (approx 250kw) gearbox, everything has been done. All parts used are new Ford spares, spent in excess of 50k on this car. Comes with genuine ELGT wheels, and new tyres. PM me with questions. Reasonable offers considered, or it can just sit in the shed with the rest of my cars if not. |

Its been in the shed for the past 4 years, that would mean getting it out to take some.
I have too many cars now, and its the least collectable, so it may have to go, for the right money, but I wont give it away. |

Well, I bought it 10 weeks old in 1998, and have basically stripped it to a bare shell @ 81000k, bought new Ford harness out of Fairmont Ghia, fitted vanity lights (rear console/above sun visors and under dash) as well as the high series audio, climate control and trip computer. Removed all suspension, all new ELGT bushes throughout, with the intention of making a fairly serious car out of it. Removed engine, stripped it in search of power, and got very serious with the suspension on the car, fitting coil overs front and rear, 4 pot brembos etc. During this time I purchased an ELGT, FBT, NL Concorde XA Fairmont and new F250. Decided that the XR8 was the least collectable, and thought of selling it. (Looking at buying an ex V8SC) I have removed the big brakes and suspension, and will refit something a little more road forgiving (bilsteins/kings or the like).
Engine has been rebuilt, has $2400 in porting on heads, motorsport cam, rollers, 65tb, 75maf, never run. Gearbox freshly rebuilt, diff brand new, 3.45lsd and too much else to think of. It has never been crashed or bent, interior unmarked, body immaculate, as mentioned, 81k very tidy car, I guess a project that never got finished, and possibly needs to move. |

Sounds like one hell of a mint ride....go hard too ... so any idea what sort of guesstimate figure u realistically hope to push this for ?

Just for those asking me in PM to sell individual parts off the car, if I wanted to sell them I would not be selling a complete car, its pretty hard to sell minus gearbox, or throttle body etc. I will not strip the car, it can sit in my shed for another 20 years before I strip it.
I guess somewhere around 15k would be getting close. |
