Hey Guys,

I was just curious what someone would be willing to pay for my centre console that I rebuilt to house a 7" LCD screen as show below. The set up works great and looks very professional if I do say so myself :D

I've had a hell of a lot of people ask me how I built it so are there any of those people around now who want to buy it?

The set up would include all wiring and the screen itself.

I'd sell for around $200 plus your standard centre console as a swap so I can build another one :D

The screen itself is identical to this one... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-X-7-WIDESCREEN ... dZViewItem

I'd also consider building an identical one as shown above for anyone who was interested... As I've got the hang of it now :)

id be interested if you make one that:

- can fit the CD player, a flip out screen
- retains the power supply (need something to charge mobile)

i reckon if you get a decent mold for these centrle fascia things, you could sell a heap :)

Well they aren't a fully fabricated thing so getting a mould done would be pointless. I simply get a standard centre surround, cut out the little shelf thing and ashtray and fibreglass in the mounting bracket that comes with this particular brand of screen which is meant to be used to mount it in a headrest. It's piss easy once you've done a couple and they turn out looking awesome.

Something like what you want would take me time that I don't really have at the moment with exams coming up. You got any designs in mind?

FORD EL - PM sent :D

fordfreak ef - It's satin black, like my interior, but it's only coated with Plastic and Vinyl paint so you could easily change the colour if you could find a cappa spray paint :D

Thanks for the interest guys. This is still only an Expression of Interest as I don't really have the time right now to build myself another one and I rather enjoy having a screen so I don't really want to be without one for long.

When I've got some spare time I'll buy the double screen deal up the top and build two more. If I had two definite interested people then I could buy the deal up the top and modify your current centre surrounds to be like mine. Interested?

Can you see the screen easy from all seats in the car???

Doesn't the T-bar get in the way sometimes?

I have mine the other way, with the screen up top above the T-bar... Only problem is has to be out of Park before you can change disc...

Good luck with the sales

Screen is very easy to see from the front two seats. The people in the rear seats need to lean into the middle to see it.

If you are worried about still having power for a phone charger, hard wire it up behind the screen and just hang the tail out the bottom, much neater anyway.
