Hey,

I am in the process of buying a 4th Ford!!

Its a cobalt Blue EB11 Fairmont Ghia wagon. Its seen better days... but is still an OK car. There is a few scratches, it has some writing on 1 of the doors (the owner has 6 year old twins) and 1 window is missing (currently got the garbage bag look happening)

Basically I am buying it for the front and rear seats (the leather / velour seats), the power windows, and the centre console.

Now here is my question - Would anyone here be interested in buying an EB11 Fairmont ghia with wind up winows, and stock fairmont seats...
Or would there be more interest in stripping and selling parts.

It has the woodgrain door insert thingies
climate control
cruise control
a bonnet (hint hint to a certain forumer who had a close encounter with a truck the other day)
Trip computer
Ghia mags (same as my wagons ones)
Owner thinks it has LSD (he isnt too cluey with cars)
ummm
lots of fluffy interior bits

Its a normal cruise control wheel (not the momo one - I already checked)
I didnt see if the dash was digital or mid series

This wont happen for a while (I still am trying to haggle with the price, then I have to try and get all the gear I want out) maybe 6 - 8 weeks...

Ooh ooh

Are the rear doors the same between a wagon and a sedan? Secondly is EB cobalt blue the same as ED cobalt blue? If so and if you are wrecking it I will definitely take the left-hand, rear door!!!!!!!!

I had a minor accident in my ED XR6 that required a new door. Unfortunately all I could find was a red door. SO I had it painted, looks alright, but isn't perfect, so I'll need a cobalt door eventually

Assuming the panels are straight, and rust free, I'd take both front guards, bonnet, heater/vent box, cluster (it will be mid series).

$450

Update ..

Myself and another forumer (not mentioning any names - but he also owns 3 fords) are gonna have a good look at the car tomorrow...

We might be going 50/50 on it, so maybe things might happen a bit quicker than expected..

So effectively you and this other forumer will have 3.5 Fords each?

this would be a very rare car if it is a EB2 Ghia wagon.
the EA ghia wagon was the last ghia wagon available.
it would have been a special order(maybe for a ford exec.)
sure its not a fairmont with leather trim?

I thought Ghia wagons were available through to ED.

2 weeks ago at auction was an ED V8 Fairmont Ghia Wagon. Full Leather interior. Black in Colour. 120,000 on the clock.

How can you pick a Fairmont Ghia vs a Fairmont?
