Hello fellow Ford fans,

Up for grabs is a fantastic condition EL XR6/8 front end conversion to suit either EF/EL Gli, Futura or possibly Fairmont. It will fit a fairlane also but might look weird LOL. As you can see all goods are in fantastic condition except for one small chip in the left hand indicator which is still sealed though. I have taken as many photos as i can to show the condition of each item.

YOU GET

-> Left and Right Headlights with all brackets and all plastic clips and mounting points intact (very rare)

-> Left and Right indicators in great condition (Except for the small chip on the left hand side one)

-> All wiring looms and connections supplied for both headlights and indicators (Basically plug and play to you existing falcon)

-> EL XR Front Bar upper nose cone fully rubbed back, high filled, smoothed and ready for primer and paint in your colour.

-> One orange globe for the indicators (cant find the other one LOL but are like $2 from repco)

All of the above are in great condition and are the cleanest ones i've seen around. I was going to convert my EF futura to an EL XR front but am now selling my car and buying a BA Falcon so i have no need for this stuff anymore. My loss is your gain.

If you have never seen a top nose cone, basically the top half clips onto the bottom half of your front bar. You need to unclip the top nose cone and cut along the plastic with a fine jigsaw blade, hacksaw or cutter. Clip in the XR upper nose cone and use some sealer or liquid nails just to ensure they stay together. Local pick up is highly preferred due to the sheer amount of stuff and size of the bar but i will post at the buyers expense but up to the buyer to get a postage or courier quote. Pickup is from Brunswick West which is 10 mins from the CBD, Glen Waverley which is SE suburbs or Melbourne Airport (where i work)

Im After $650 for the lot which i think is a good price considering the condition of the parts.

If there is no interst here it going on EBAY :D pics below

You will have trouble fitting this to a Fairmont as the bonnet latch etc is different as well as needing an XR bonnet or at least a GLi bonnet, need same bonnet for EL as std EL bonnet won't fit. Just my 2 cents.

Yes it does. but to fully seperate them you still need to cut off around the lip then attach the XR cone or whatever top cone, and silkaflex it back on because the clips arent strong enough to hold it together by themselves.

Mooseman, have a look in the exterior section, as I'm sure I did a doco on this when we cut our bar and stuck the XR nosecone on our old car.

Andrew, just to confirm, if we grabbed this, we'd need a Gli bonnet, is that right? Even to just stick the cone on our exsisting bar?

Yes amber, you will need to get an GLi bonnet. The Fairmont bonnet has the grill attached to the bonnet and comes down. You can always cut the conversion up so that just the lights are in place, but the rest stays the same. If you get what I mean.

phong =P~

EDIT: I'm sure someone has done this before with a Fairmont Bonnet. Can't find the thread though.

Amber, yup will need a gli or futura bonnet to fit. Someone has done it here before with a fairmont one but can't find the link, but anyway, its sold to sean.
