Seeking expressions of interest for my EL, I'm the second owner (after it was auctioned off by the police @ 30000km). These are the specs:

White
Rear spoiler (same type as XR)
New gas conversion (@ 101000km)
5L V8
cruise control
fully working air conditioning
trip computer
EF Fairmont alloy wheels
tinted windows
tow bar
headlight guards
original stereo and speakers
auto
Police pack
-lowered springs
-full instrumentation (inc low fluid sensors etc)
-3.23 LSD
-transmission cooler
-high series interior lights in roof
-passenger grab handles
-dual horns

Reason for selling is because I've recently bought a one owner EL Ghia off a family friend. The car is in excellent condition and the interior is like new and never had kids in the back. It is all original with the only modifications being the trip computer and spoiler (which was dealer fitted by Range ford in 1999.) There is no wear and tear like most falcons of this age, due to the low km and only 1 person in the vehicle most of the time. I have full service records from 1999 onwards.

On gas I get 450km out of a 68L tank, and on petrol 550km from about 62L. This is mainly highway driving.

The back window could do with a re-tint as its quite blurry to look out of, and there is a whine at about 80km/h, which I assume is the diff but there is no slop in it so it could possibly be a wheel bearing. However there isn't any whine at any other speeds. I can include a complete 3.23 non-LSD in the sale.

If anyone is interested let me know and I will organise some photos. I'm asking $7900.

If that was an EF and not on gas I would be your buyer.

Chasers make great sleepers. Someone buy it and work the engine.

Cheers

Timmeh just out of interest, why would you rather an EF than an EL - did they have something better than the ELs?
cheers

I prefer the look of the EF and the black buttons and black guages.

The oval on the front of ELs doesnt do anything for me.
Also the tail lights with the yellow plastic is rather awful to look at.

Performance wise they are pretty much the same.
