Well it was in an auto. Dunno about gas though. Other cams from RPD have been used successfully on gas.

RPD Hybrid Stage 3 Cam - $200
Had less than 20,000 on it before the engine munched itself. The cam itself is in A1 condition.

Just a question. Do you know if I would get much gain out of this cam over my XR hybrid cam?

Early 98 (feb/march). Only way to be sure however is to check the part number on the head.

Liam, I'd say you'd get an extra 20-30 or so RWKW from this cam. (what are you running now?).

You see my two dyno sheets above, one stock cam, one with cam. (other mods didn't change), and mine's an auto. You may see a bit more (depending on how healthy your engine is now).

is the rpd cam still for sale? I may think about it in next few weeks if U still have it but 2 questions:

1) will it work on a 06 ef futura

2) do I need to change the valve springs?

cheers

Thanks, concorde. Yeah, he's right, if you had a hybrid engine chances are you'd know about it, cause they're a PITA to mod.

I'm quite keen on this but dont know too much about these kind of mods....

What does it do to fuel consumption? Is it worth it putting it in my stock XR6? (it is a hybrid, May 98)

I can get to the cam and remove it myself and everything, but never had to install a custom one...so I wouldnt know anything about using "shims" etc...what does that entail?

In short it'll make a big improvement to a stock XR6. fuel economy gets worse (there's the tradeoff). If I manage to sell this one (looking very likely), you can talk to Jaysen (RPD) he can make 'em up and has a good doco on installation, and supplies the shims required.
