I'd love to swap that for my EL XR8 manual 185kw version but I'm lacking 15kw you want and I'm in Perth.

Interceptor,
Mate, a ELGT or FBT would be nice and I'm into rarity factor... but don't want / cant spend any / much money. Have had a AUII XR6 VCT and a BA XR6T prior to the print and kinda like the idea of a AU XR again and even a low end model BA at a streach.. Such is life...

Big Kev,
Yes they do from time to time. Would like to get this but am realistic about price etc. Price is based on what the car was in its day.. A real weapon.!. Only 180 Manuals made and approx 180 (give or take a few) Auto's...
They hold their value fairly well now. There is one for sale with only 29,000ks on it for $25k ish around the place..

Guy in perth was trying to sell his for 6 months for $14-$15k.. had 90000km on it.. no one would buy it.
It's definetly worth the price.. problem is.. not many ppl are willing to buy a
"collectable".. escpecially when a newer car costs the same :\

brendan, FBT's are pretty cheap, Daniel on here is selling his for $18k, and by all accounts its immaculate!

http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27587

the problem with buying an AU or BA is that there's thousands of the damned things, so in a few years time, they'll be worth SFA, but EB GT's, ED Sprints, EL GT's and NL FBT's are all going to hold thier prices a lot better.... dont be suprised in 5-6 years time if you can get a well used BA XR8 or XR6T for less than a sprint

half the reason i bought a sprint is the rarity factor, in that i know i dont stand to lose much money over the next few years if i ever have to sell it....

Yeah they'll hold their value better.. but it's a lot harder to find buyers for them.

AdamN,
Yep I know... The buys have to want to buy... I think it also depends if they are after a Manual...

Interceptor,
Yep Would like a FBT but dont want to spend any money.. Would like a rare car again as that is the primary reason I got the sprint in the first place... Am aware of the ever devaluing Falcon market. Again that is the main reason I got the sprint as it had hit (IMHO) the bottom of the devaluing curve.. Would like to keep it but cant justify 3 cars.. and have no where to store it.... Such is life..
