Your ED Console wouldn't have a RED BEM in it would it?

The one in the GLi dash is orange, just like the EB dash. I am picking up the wiring for the fairmont dash on Saturday so will let you know what that has.....

Mine is base model... well classic... virtually base model... Definitely wont be a fairmont one...

The RED BEM must be the smartlock module. Does it sit above the hand brake? Or does it sit on it's side next to the radio?

Hmmmm, all these little boxes! The ED GLi dash has a black box on its side and the orange (?) one above the handbrake. I know the orange one controls the dash bit but the other? Buggered if I know!

This one is the one above the handbrake that you can see when you stick your head up near the pedals... Cheers, Tim

OK, in the EF/EL there is only one box, and it contains both the BEM and Smartlock capabilities.
In the EA/EB/ED there are two boxes. The one above the handbrake being RED/Orange/Yellow is the Smartlock Module. The one next to the radio on it's side is the BEM and controls the electronic functions Black - GLi Blue - Futura White/Green - Fairmont Hope that sorts out any confusion. BenJ
