Series II XR8 (5.0 ltr 302 Windsor) in the 5 speed manual, I bought this car with 205000 kms, a year and a half ago. I travel for work, and since then the car hasnt been driven much at all, it has been left in my parents keeping, driven once a week down to the shops, to keep things in order.
Since then I have had alot of parts on the car replaced/work done listed here:
(all work done and parts replaced have been done by a lisenced mechanic)
replaced (with new):
-both gearbox seals, and gearbox mount, internals checked for wear
-both engine mounts
-plugs and leads
-uni joint at diff end of tailshaft
-pinion seal at front of diff, diff cracked open, all internals checked for wear
-airflow sensor (off manifold)
-heavy duty clutch cable from ford
-Exedy heavy duty clutch fitted 15000km's ago
-Slotted DBA front rotors
-Bendix pads front and rear
-Koni adjustable suspension fitted 15000kms ago
-Lowered Pedders springs
-Nolathane bushes and camber kit
-4 oil and filter changes, once ever 4 months
-plate welded to firewall to overhaul the flimsy standard ford firewall which resulted in alot of heavy duty clutchs pulling through the firewall over time
-injector cleaner run through engine
-AU 65mm throttle body
-Twin 2-1/4" exhaust system
-Factory fitted Tickford bodykit with highrise spoiler.
-Factory fitted AU style 'Explorer' inlet manifold.
-Factory fitted EL GT extractors.
-Factory fitted xr8 tickford rims, with plenty of tread on tyres
-Pioneer CD/MP3/WMA player with direct iPod control -Jaycar Response 4x100 amplifier
-Jaycar Response 6" Coaxial splits in front
-Jaycar Response 6" speakers in rear
ok so thats the long list of what ive had done to improve the xr8 now the condition of the body is immaculate, extremely good for its age.
the interior is in good order, bit of wear on the carpets with age, even though matts were always used, and also some grubby marks on the backseat which, if I can remember were made when I had my car jack sitting on the backseat.
The body and interior of the car are all standard from factory, All problems have been listed, there are no suprises on viewing, I welcome you to call or text my mobile if u have any furthur questions or would like to view the car in person.
Car can come with rwc (wont be done till buyer found) or can have price dropped and be done by buyer.
And finally the reason for sale is that I have moved into a house and could use the money
so the xr8 unfortunately needs to be sold.
