Just found this BA on Ebay and turns out it is a bloke that lives around the corner me. This thing goes past my place every day and has always grabbed my attention. As I am mainly a box car fan, I know very little about the ba's, and the missus is just about the opposite.
My questions are:

Is this a good price considering K's, mods etc?

Are there any generic faults with these cars that I should pay attention to?

Gunna go have a look at it anyway, considering I can walk there in less than 2 minutes, but thought I would arm myself with a bit of info on the model first.

Cheers,
Mick

Redbook probably should have been my first stop.

They indicate between $8.5k to $10k for a base model, so considering this one has a fair bit of work already done, I am leaning towards it being a pretty good buy.

Better go look for myslef.

just make sure on the k's its done. in the description graph it says its done 221 000 but in the pic its done 121 500. it could be a mistake but better to make sure there not old pics. IMO the price is about right, that being the reserve. offer the bloke 9k and see how you go.

 They are what they are-some are good, many are not!
Common probs with the BA are,
* Brakes *Bonnet cable * Power Steering pump * Handbrake * Transmision, & the list goes on.
I have had all above except tranny, mines got 66,00kms & is 6yrs old.
My Ba is my pride & oy & I say get it & see how you go, its a good price though! :D

price seems pretty good, but i wouldn't necesarily pay any more for it because it has a few mods..
personally i'd ditch the wheels and taillights (and mudflaps and wind deflectors) lol.

Seems like a good buy to me. I paid just under 14k 4 months ago for an 02 ba with under 100k kms, 18" wheels, exhaust, lowered, tints etc.

Even the buy it now price is reasonable. Having said that the description says it has a scrape on the rear guard so id off like 9k see how it goes.
