You should wait you two days, anything could happen, otherwise I will upset you and offer you $100 (direct deposit to your bank) and I will pick them up when I pick up Brad's doors at Dave's place. (Silly me went and bought another wagon it has blue doors, so I will have to paint Brad's doors now)

would these be a direct fit into the EL front door speaker location, and could the tweeter replace the factory tweeter.

they should be a direct fit as far as diameter goes, but im not sure about mounting depth.
as far as the factory tweeter, its really not the best place to mount a tweeter, there are better options, such as a pillars, or the door trim sails

theres actually a fair amount of room between the door skin and the door trim
i had focals with 2.75" depth in my el ghia with no problems
just had to take to the door trim with a dremel slightly, and remove the casting marks.
