What the manufacturer says: Our Easy Fit Roof Racks are ideal for surf boards, kayaks, wind surfers, boxes, ladders, skis and snowboards. We initially made this product because we wanted to give people an alternative to expensive permanent roof racks. The benefit of our Easy Fit Roof Racks is that they are only take a couple minutes to fit and remove.

What I say: These are a great idea and fit by wrapping around the roof and tie inside the car. They say ladders etc and rate them to 80kg, and I guess you could but I don't know if I'd drive interstate with 80kg of timber on them!! Much more suited to occasional local use, surfboards, etc for those of you who don't want to fit standard roof racks.

Its not clear in these pics from the manufacturer, but there are tie down points (straps I guess) along the length of the racks themselves to tie the load down onto.
