Hi All,

Putting my EL XR6 engine up for sale. This car was previously owned by a forum member, and he has advised that the engine has just been reconditioned in the last 5000 kays. As far as I can tell it has been rebuilt using standard parts. My regular mechanic has inspected the vehicle and verified that the engine has been rebuilt.

There are no oil leaks, undue noises, smoke etc and it runs very nicely. It is quite responsive and grunty, indicating a very healthy engine.

The engine will be sold complete, with all accessories such as power steering, alternator, air con compressor, XR6 injectors, XR6 fuel rail and XR6 fuel reg, and basically everything else that's attached to the engine!!

I am after $900 firm for the engine, however buyer must remove. I can help out with the removal when an extra pair of hands are required, however I won't be able to do the entire removal.

I have most tools, axle stands, jack and car ramps available to use with the removal.

Depending on where the buyer is located, once the engine has been removed, I may be able to help deliver the engine, if the buyer doesn't have a trailer etc available.

Inspection and test drive is welcome and reccommended. Car is located in Cheltenham.

Should you have any queries, please reply, PM or contact me on 0418 597 239.

Thanks,

Justin.

Have been in the car and engine goes well. Looked rebuilt and very clean when I saw it. No noises and such. I am tempted myself but I don't have the money nor the expertise to take an engine out :P

phong =P~

From what I understand the hybrid motor was removed, and this was installed and rebuilt in it's place. I could be wrong though, so I'll see what I can find out.

Is there any way for me to identify myself whether or not it is a hybrid motor?

As in the whole engine number? Or if you're referring to a different number, where on the block will I find it?

VERY cheap, I paid $1600 for a Reco EF Engine in December, wish this had of been around back then!

Wouldn't take long to remove & fit into you car either having all the accessories with it :)

OK, cool, I'll check it out. I might be a day or two as I most likely won't get to see the car in day light until Thursday.

justin on the head there should be a part number
ie
94da
96da
wr2a
or
a T

this will identify the head - the blocks are the same just the heads were different
