Hey all,

In a massive backflip I'm abandoning cheap fuel and leaving the Ford camp to chase out of the box performance. As a result, the mont has to go.

Image

It's a 1996 EL Fairmont - 155,000 kms
4 Speed BTR Auto
Impco LPG Dual Fuel Setup
Lukey 2.5" Cat back exhaust
Wingless EL Tickford kit (CCS Fibreglass copy)
Ghia-style colour coded side strips
17" Advanti Stalker Wheels
AU MOMO Steering wheel
AU3 XR8 Intake snorkel
Sony Xplod MP3 HeadUnit (RRP $499)
EL XR Tickford lowered springs and shocks
EF White Cluster Needles
6000K Xenon HID Headlamps
Debadged rear end and doors
NL Fairlane Clear side indicators
NL Fairlane Cornering Lamps

It's an awesome daily driver package, a smooth ride, and look nice, a very photogenic car, and the Lukey exhaust sounds awesome, and a tank of LPG (60L) will fetch you approx 380km and about 310 in traffic.
It's interior is clean as the day it came out the factory, and it's a shame to let it go, but I've changed direction.
Will come with RWC over $9000, up for negotiation past that point.

92 Soarer twin turbo.
Whole lot cheaper than a BA (about 10k) with a gearbox that's just as strong (if not stronger) and fairly similar speed out of the box...

Are you talking manual or turbo?

Probably be hard pressed to find a manual TT for 10k, cheapest i have seen is about 12k. There great cars only problem is when the turbo's go your looking at 2.2-3k to have them rebuilt which is nearly double similar imports (skyline, 200sx etc).

Fairmont looks nice though, should sell easy!

Buy the soarer, and do a single turbo conversion :) You'll be laughing mate :P Or if you could find one, get a VVTi 1J :P Either way, stick to toyota
GL with the sale champ!

Get out of my thread, that's all I have to say. And sif I wouldn't take it to Rajab, :P.

I'm going for an auto guys, they are a pretty damn good daily, and the auto box is near indestructible.
And whoever said the turbos are 3k to rebuild, dude, what have you been smoking? A single turbo conversion doesn't even cost that much :p, a friend of mine just had his turbos rebuilt for his soarer for like $950...
And I don't want a VVTi one, it's good, but f**k with you when it comes to getting an ecu, because only the expensive as f**k ones support it lol.
