you might get a well used fairmont for yours since its a manual, id recommend doing a conversion like others have mentioned. you can pick up a full ghia trim (door trim, leather seats etc) for a half decent price if you look around, seen some go on ebay and various classifieds for between $250-$500 then you can do the climate control and power windows too and your pretty much there. and youd still have a manual :) could also consider a cam or budget turbo set up too which could be fun, seen kits going for under a grand :D
id say with a trim, windows, climate control and some guts behind the manual and youd be pimpin it harder than alot of the xr's or fairmonts kickin round.. and you'd probably get a few quid for it when you decide to get that holden youve been dreaming of :P
what are the mods that you cant see out of curiosity?

So I take it your not interested in the Ferrari I offered you? I can put XR6 or Fairmont Badges on it if you prefer. Your choice.

just wondering in what you are calling a "real car " ?

on another note . my EL Futura started out std ( yes i payed 20K for it back when they where still on showroom floors ) , look at it now Full EL XR front conversion , was auto 4L - converted to manual ,
now has 5L auto , fairmont seats soon to be EL XR interia and sun roof ,

Finally , i would suggest you stick with your factory manual EL as you have got yourself 1 of the better base models to start yourself on with some great mods that can be done after your P's. and when your 'assets' from the bank use that to mod up the EL ....

Dave

^^^ DAVE, I said all that on the previous page... He's not interested in modifying his car... Even though it would cost him less, and teach him more, than whatever path he has chosen.

Good luck to him. Just think he joined the wrong site, started the wrong thread, and has a totally wrong attitude.

(And therefore should just piss off...)
