Mate, that's my old XD! I bought it in 1988 and I've been wondering since 1999 what happened to it and am very happy to see that it has been cared for. I can supply details on the build if you are interested, but not sure if that's appropriate in this section? I can assure you that it was very well looked after and had a lot of things changed and modded.

Sorry mate, been super busy, but I'd still love to see my old ride if it's still around.
C'mon people this is a good car. I legally converted it myself to 302, a good tight motor, LSD disc brake rear end/synthetic oil, fully rebuilt C4 with mild shift kit and cooler, XE steering box, full XF Ghia interior (was tan originally- EVERYTHING had to be changed to grey), full gauge dash cluster, extra LTD interior lights, chrome handles/lock buttons, about three layers of sound deadening (quieter than my EF Ghia inside), new headlights/indicators/bonnet/grill/ball joints, King front springs, re-sprayed Hermitage red. I even personally fish-oiled the doors and body every year... Man I miss it. Would buy it in a heartbeat if I had somewhere to store it. Thought I'd give it a good rep for the new owner.  Mike

Thanks heaps for the info mike. Its good to see someone had loved it as much as I have. Its funny that you sold it for the same reason as me. If I didnt have to use my car for work I would keep it for sure. I just dont want it getting trashed from daily use.
C'mon guys, its a great car and at a great price! still slightly negotiable. |
