My brother already has a quick shifter in his car but only a cheap one. Can someone explain how this one will be better? I dont understand "WITH THE 2ND TO 3RD STRAIGHT GATE SHIFT ACTION THAT BILLET " What that means and how it will help but Im thinking about getting my brother one of these for Christmas/birthday.

Depending on what your brother has, This is a solid unit it automitically gates from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th with ease as it is setup with springs inside the unit.

Hope this helps
Mark

Ever had trouble going from second to third in a manual Falcon? They can be a b*tch of a gear change sometimes.

This has a spring, so that when the stick comes out of second, the spring pushes the stick into the neutral position, so it slots into the third gate easily.

If it like the same group buy that Hotwire organised (cheers again Hotwire), to tell the truth, I wasn't overly impressed with the item with the standard stick. It wasn't until I got a solid mounted stick that I really felt a difference. I do know of other people that like it with the rubber mount as well, so its an each to their own decision.
