unfortunately i'm flirting with the idea of getting rid of the falcon and making way for a smaller less petrol guzzling car... which will be later followed by an r32 gtr but that's neither here nor there.

point is i have no idea how much i could get for my old beast should i decide to sell it. details as follows

1995 gunmetal grey falcon gli
auto
280,000km's
pacemaker comp extractors w/ 2.5inch exhaust
koni adjustable shocks w/ king super low springs
au xr 17inch wheels (sava intenza tyres w/ lots of tread - not that that helps the s**t tyres)
full venom body kit
jvc head deck, jl 6inch splits in front, 2-ways in rear
basically all receipts and records still
still runs pretty good and has some poke - new dba slotted's in front, new pwr steering pump and hose, recently replaced head gasket; all up engine in great condition given age. only bought it for 4000!

and now for the bad stuff:
big ding in driver side door - will cost close to 1g to repair
paint in ok condition - a few knicks here and there nothing major
passenger seat stained from water
material on driver seat starting to wear away in one corner (nothing seat covers won't fix!)

think that's about it. i was thinking of advertising it for 8 and hoping to get the best part of 7grand for it. is that reasonable? cheers guys.

oh, and pics in my gallery (before i put the big ding in the door)

Good luck with the sale, but i think even 7k with the km's and damage it has is extremely optimistic.
I don't think you'd get much more than 4-5k if the damage needs to be repaired, etc.

would it be worth fixing the door? could i expect the price i sell it for to reflect the non-damage... does that make sense? i think u know what i mean.

Ah youll def get more than 3g with reg and everything i would think. A grand to fix the door? your kidding right?? Just go and get another door from the wreckers and getting it painted and throw it on. Nowhere near a grand unless the pillar is damaged

if the damage is in the door only id look at replacing the door and getting a bit more for it, you may pay 100 for a door, but in return you may get a buyer willing to pay an extra 1000 for it as it looks neat (compared to if they bought it with a dent)

i think 5-6 with no dent

i bought my ef, exactly same as yours (95 gunmetal) but with about 150 on the clock for 2 g, on gas too.... it has cost me about 3500 now though with power windows, fairmont seats, lowering etc etc, need new gearbox now too... mine doenst have a body kit and has standard classic allows.
anything between 3 to 4500 is reasonable.

I would check where you are buying your R34s.

You can pick up a 34 GTR for about 60k these days unless you are looking for a late model, or limited edition one.

32s were the best looking ones though. Only problem is that they are becoming more common on the streets than Falcons & Commodores.

4-5k

If you want an economic car, but aren't keen to give up the falcons, check out mine for sale: http://www.crowdyfarm.com.au/xr6/

It has almost the same city economy as my 2001 holden barina (10-11L/100km), 7-8L/100 on the freeway, and doesn't go above 12L/100 even when you drive it hard (and it can go pretty hard!)
