Hi there, Im just trying to get rid of my old EB. The tires dont have alot of tread left but might be just roadworthy. Its got 15" ROH mags on it (one rim was my drag tire for the EL yesterday so thats got no tread) and a spare I think EA ghia rim with a bit of tread thats on the car at the moment. The car has quite a few dents and scratches but nothing major.

The door lock in the drivers door is broken and the car needs to be unlocked from the passenger side but you can still lock it from the drivers side. The drivers side indicator is cracked.

The motor/auto/diff are in A1 condition and it runs beautifully on gas but not good on petrol. Its a column shift auto with EA spac seats(not the best condition..) with a mid series excop cluster(excop cluster so it says 900,000kms but I guarantee you its only done about 330,000) Changed the motor about 10,000kms ago with another EB motor that had done about 150,000kms. Its got reg until end of Jan 07 but will only sell with plates if buyer organises a RWC.

I know there is alot wrong with it but it would be great for spares with the LPG only installed in '99 so the tank still has 3 years left on it. My brother is a Ford mechanic so anything mechanically wrong with the car has always been fixed and its been very reliable to me. This would be perfect for someone that wants the gas system and mags. I will post pics up shortly when I find some. The car is located in Epping in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

I have tried to be as honest as possible. I have no idea what it needs for RWC but as far as I know all the things wrong with it are just cosmetic or annoying things.

Im looking to sell ASAP so throw me some offers, the main delay on getting LPG installed is the availability of the parts so you will find that if you already have the kit most places will do it sooner.

btw, I would do a trade for some 17s for my EL, manual conversion, ticky kit or a disc to disc LSD for it. Im after general mods for my EL so if someone got stuff they wanna swap plus cash then throw me an offer.

hey mate what springs do you have in it? if they are xr6 genuines would u seprate?

why do you now tell me you'd trade a decent runaround for 17s?! I could have pulled the ones off my EL lol.

No worries mate. I have a mate interested but I dont think he can come up with the cash. I think the springs in it may have been cut springs but not entirely sure the ride isnt harsh or anything. I will chuck in the stock springs from my EL fairmont if someone wants it.

ya wont swap a 3.9lsd outta an ea for it??use the gears in ya el n mini spool it while the centres out??or else im tryin to sell my ea...i might wreck it and then i'll have an eb series 2 5 speed...no noise or anythin,awesome box,maybe we could swap it for the 5 speed convo,let me know

Not really interested in a EA LSD would be after a later model one.
I would definately swap it for a 5 speed EB series two box though. Let me know if you wreck it.



Make me an offer mate, I will through in the rego for free if you get a RWC for it. 31st of Jan the rego expires so still a good 3 months on it.


Also I forgot to add the head was reco'd about 10,000kms ago with an AU headgasket.

im really stuck i dunno if im better to re register the ea and its going on gas in a few weeks,or wreck it for your car already on gas....decisions decisions

Well you will be able to get a very good running car out of the two of them im sure of that so when you make your mind up just let me know.

The sale is on hold at the moment because apparently my mate says he is getting a RWC this weekend. I told him if he doesnt have one by next monday then the car is on the market. At the moment you have the highest offer and I will sell at that price but im just waiting on my mate so I will let you know.

Looks like this is back on the market. I will have the car for viewing from tomorrow afternoon unless my mate really surprises me and gets a RWC tomorrow. Just to recap everything.

I am after $1000ono or I will trade for some of the following things;

- EBII or later 5 speed conversion
- EF or EL disc to disc LSD
- Xbox 360 premium pack + cash depending on accessories/games
- Nice PC that I can use for net, web publishing and video editing but not really high end +- cash depending on specs
- Any other general decent mods for my EL Fairmont.
