I have nothing to do with this sale. I just came across it and thought it was worth a look!

A piece of Street Machining history. Built by Howard Astill who has since passed away. I think it was given away through Street Machine magazine. Anyway it has a very serious show pedigree.

Crazy. If it was that or a new Falcon?

When did Howard Astill die? His latest mustang build was only in Street Machine the other month

This thing used to be owned by Dave Ritchie (who i think is still in prison)

oh and I believe Dave Ritchie only sold this for about 20 grand before he went into the slammer. I could be wrong though (it was advertised on the various forums for 2g)

wtf, who am i thinking of then? i am sure astill died like in 2004 or last year? s**t, i need to check.

i am sure it was the dude who built the pioneer XA falcon who died, and i thought that was astill?

well if he is still alive that is good! he is the closest thing to one of the craxy US customs guys in Aust. him and macbeth and his silly magna.

Howard Astill showed alot of car enthusiasts, Connerseurs and petrol heads that a Show stopper didnt have to be a h series holden with a foot of metal hanging out of it.

I think he helped start the whole custom theme back up again.

Its a shame when a car of that calibre gets owned by a lowlife like Ritchie who in my honest opinion should never be able to own a car again.

Would have to go a new ford, where would you feel safe parking that on a day to day basis??

Plus every low life scum car thief would know that car and would be looking to steal it before you had time to get out.

Would be an awesome weekend and cruise car tho.
