Hi All,

As the subject says - I have a Sony RM-AV2100 universal remote control...backlit LCD screen, programmable macros etc - the works ! It has spent more time sitting on my coffee table than being actually used :(

RRP back in '03 was close to ~$300 mark. It can be used with non-sony products...it is all in the manual to code in other branded remotes...either way, it's great for anyone that has multiple remotes - ie home hifi setup.

It's good for giving it a set of instructions too - ie you can make it turn on one component at a time and change inputs, like turning on tv, turn on amp, turn on dvd player, switch tv to dvd input, press play on dvd (if you don't have autoplay on dvd player) - all from programming it to a single button :)

I have the box and manual too.

Thanks & Cheers,
Steve

Does it have code learning capability?
Why u getting rid of it; they work awesome; an upgrade maybe?

Yes it has code learning - it has different codes for different components...most major brands are covered - apart from the manual, a separate printed sheet of 'Component code numbers' is included - Sony think of everything :)
