Holy crap, will these fit in a 3.08 housing? ive heard many conflicting arguments, i could be very interested.

What are these out of? i just rang the local ford dismantler and they said if its out of a xr6 oir xr8 it will fit but it will need shims? i have to idea on this so if im wrong let me know.

They are out of an EF XR6. But that doesnt make a difference really. XR6 and XR8 diffs are the same as whats in my EL Ghia, and its the same, bar ratio, as whats in my mums NL Fairlane. A 3.08 and 3.23/3.45 housing are physically different. And its long been established that the gears wont fit. I am of the understanding that 3.08 housings are smaller than the 3.23/3.45 housings. |

Damn righto thanks for your help anyway. This stupid b**ch wanna gonna sell me a set of xr8 3.45 gears telling me that they will fit straight in. I think ill be ringing her and letting her know how i feel.

I think you will find thats why members here with 3.08 diffs are so eager to get hold of complete 3.45's, disc to disc. In the same way that you will have to get hold of a complete housing. |

Thanks for the interest guys...
But I had an interested party within 20 mins of me putting it up, and they have now come through with the purchase. Its now considered 100% sold. Gotta be quick with these bargins
