i have a recoe'd steering rack for sale. i bought it for my el, but my el has a course spline steering column, and this rack has a fine spline. if yours has a fine spline this should fit.
i took a pic as close up as i could get of the spline end i am talking about.
pickup or postage and paypal are avaliable. i'm in melbourne ,greensborough.

oh yeah, $120. plus postage if you need it. the left side tie rod and boot are off just to ease postage size. it just goes straight in when assembling.

Do you know if it suits standard Falcon / Futura or does it have provision for the SSPS switch sensor thingy like in Ghias ?

If it is the latter, I am interested :)

Cheers,
Steve

ok mate i spoke to ford today and i asked them a series of leading questions. lol anyway it basically came down to this. the steering racks they sell EF and EL I6's are all the same only the V8's are different in this application. So my question is when you bought this was it for an I6? I did also ask about the fine spline and course spline thing and he said it didnt specify whether it was or wasnt.
Hope that helps a bit.

the guy told me it was from an ef xf6.... so yeah i assume a 6 cylinder?
i see new tie rods in 14 or 16mm new for sale on ebay, so i know for $20 these could be easily changed, or just get 14mm tie rod ends, but the spline bit can't be changed i dont think?.......so you do need a fine spline car.
i had to buy another rack for mine and it cost me $240, so this is cheap if it fits....
