Item: Wrecking EL Fairmont Ghia
Price: Various - depends on which items you want
Type: Part
Condition: Used

Description: I purchased from Pickles today an EL Fairmont Ghia sedan and am now wrecking it ( http://www.pickles.com.au/damaged/vehicle/CP-02-97-Ford-Fairmont-EL-Ghia-Sedan-5-Seats/itemid-1-302013509/lotid-302026319 ). It's travelled a bit over 120,000kms and so is in really good condition and very clean. It's a 4.0L I6 (engine is the Tickford one same as the EL XR6's) automatic. White body, but a lot of the panels are dented - the crash wasn't hard enough to set off either of the air bags though.

Parts that I'm keeping (and so will not sell):
* Passenger air bag dash and anything else required with it (BEM is not being kept).
* Various ABS parts.
* Power windows parts (but not the door trims).
* A few other minor plastics from the interior, e.g. the cup holder.

Good parts that you may be interested in:
* Tickford engine (4.0L I6 - same as the EL XR6's!).
* Automatic transmission.
* LSD.
* Chrome interior door handles.
* Leather seats.
* Wood grain door trims.
* Leather shifter knob.
* Wood grain shifter surround.
* Premium stereo - CD stacker, subwoofer, amplifier etc.
* 4 x 15" mag wheels with really good 215 tyres on.
* Floor and boot carpet.
* Lowered suspension.
* Cruise control.
* Mid-series cluster.
* High series BEM.

I am happy to post or freight at buyers expense.

I am open to offers on everything. But as the rules require prices here's some to give you an indication (these are based on some other threads I've found on here and what those people were asking):

Chrome interior door handles - $150.00.
Door trims - $150.00.
Leather seats - $250.00.
Premium sound system (includes headunit, the CD control unit/DSP thingo, amplifier, 6 disc CD stacker, front speakers and tweeters, rear speakers and 8" parcel shelf subwoofer) - $150.00.
4 x 15" mag wheels (including centrecaps) and good condition 215 tyres (I will measure the tread depth tomorrow) - $250.00.
Chrome buttoned leather handbrake lever - $50.00.
Chrome buttoned leather automatic shifter knob - $50.00.
Chrome automatic shifter shaft - $50.00.
Automatic transmission - $250.00.
Engine complete - $400.00.

More prices on individual items to come.

Prices are negotiable - I'm open to offers.

If anyone local is interested in the motor or automatic gearbox, the car can currently be driven to test them - but you'll need to hurry as I plan to remove the dash, BEM etc. shortly, so soon it won't run...

Got pics of the leather handbrake handle? I'm interested.

Also, how much for the suspension? As in the shocks and springs.

Whats the details on the suspesnion? As in brands etc. Can I get a pic of the car straight on from the side, from road level to see the ride height? I'm thinking it will be too low for my driveway.

Overall pretty good condition. No rips, tears, scratches or marks that I've seen. Drivers seat is the worst as obviously it gets the most use. I'll get more photos of them this evening.

You can see from the above photos the front grill has a crack in it down the bottom, also one of the mounting studs snapped off when removing it (it's taped on the back with red electrical tape, so it can be reattached with glue I guess). It's also missing 1 of the nuts, but the other 5 are all there.
Also, you can see the top spear of the chrome rear number plate shroud, has a small crack in it at the bottom and seems to be slightly bent. The bottom half is perfect though. All the nuts are there too.
